For the last two years, August has been the month where I have taken on a challenge.
I saw the challenge as a way of sharpening skills and keeping fresh, as well as a bit of fun.
Well, it is traditionally the 'silly season' after all.
And now, with August fast approaching, I have to make the decision as to whether I continue with what is possibly becoming a tradition.
The challenge?
To take and post a picture of a pre-listed subject on each day of August.
In 2011 I worked from list provided by a young girl, Christina.
In 2012 I worked from a #photoadayaug list that was generally available.
2011 saw me sticking to black & white (well, almost!) and in 2012 I used just my G12 in square format and went mostly for colour. I also had a bit of company along the way but unfortunately, it is not always so easy to keep up and sadly I ended up completing the challenge alone. (It is hard, and I take my hat off to those who do 365 and even longer!)
So I am going to ask you:-
Do you want to see me take on the challenge again this year? Yes? I thought so!
Now the big ask:-
I need you ALL to provide me with a subject. I need at least 31, so please don't be shy in coming forward.
-Have a look at the subjects that I have done before, then suggest similar one word or simple sentence ideas (no repeats from 2011/12 please) and a real challenge would be interesting.
-Say which day you would like it on and whether it should be B&W or colour.
-Post your suggestions in the comments box below please, so that everyone else can see what and when has already been suggested.
Then, when I have my 31 (and I will pester you all until I have them!) I will post the full list
and the details of the challenge.
and the details of the challenge.
So, there isn't long. Get thinking and sending me your ideas. I can't wait to see what I have in store.
PS. I have temporarily removed the spam-hurdles to leave comments, so there is no excuse not to leave suggestions!
